Congrats to the couples that got engaged over the Holidays! We figured since it is the beginning of the year a lot of you are planning on going to Bridal shows and starting the journey of meeting and hiring Vendors!
Having a connection with you vendors is key! Here are 10 questions we think you should ask vendors when meeting with them for a consultation… enjoy!

1. Ask to see a profile of their work.
-Most vendors will bring pictures or video of their work from previous weddings.

2. Ask for a detailed list of what services are included in the package you are paying for.
-Having this list will give you clarity of what you are paying for.

3. Ask for copies of anything you sign and ask the vendor to sign and date it for you too.
-This is always good to have on file and most times, your wedding coordinator may ask to review it for you.

4. How much is required as a deposit and if it is non-refundable.
-This may clear the path for any hidden fees you may not have been aware of.

5. Will you price match if you find a better deal for the same services offered.
-Economically, most vendors will price match for the same service offered and it doesn’t hurt to ask.

6. Will you be bringing additional staff to assist you.
-Most venues give limited time for setup. If your wedding vendor has additional help, it will make their work more efficient.

-This is also important to ask the DJ/Band Photographer, Wedding Coordinator, Videographer because they will be at your reception and served dinner.

7. How long have you been in business? And how many weddings do you book per year?
–  This gives you an idea of their experience and involvement in the industry.

8. Do you book more than one wedding a weekend?
– This is important to some brides and grooms because it reasures them that their vendor will get a good nights rest and will be fresh and focused for your big day.

9. Do you have a payment plan available?
-Many vendors offer payment plans or installments along the course of the time you met them to about the week before you get married.

10. How far in advance do I need to book with you?
-This question is especiallyimportant if you are wanting to interview other wedding vendors of the same service. You will have a better understanding of how quickly they get booked for weddings.

Hope you have an {inspired} day!

Love,
Danielle & Cecily
