La Valencia.Pink Lady.Charmed Beauty

July 11, 2011

This weekend, Sam and I (Cecily) stayed at the La Valencia Hotel in La Jolla for our one year anniversary of being married! You may have seen, heard of, or stayed at what is popularly known as the “Pink Lady”. If you haven’t seen or heard of this hotel, it isn’t hard to miss. With 1930’s Spanish inspired architecture & pink stucco it definitley sticks out. Sam and I had only seen the hotel once yet never stayed here…Here is our experience.

Upon arriving, we decided to walk around the village of La Jolla and were drawn to this gorgeous hotel. Walking through the courtyard to the lobby we were enamored with the decor and floor to ceiling windows over looking the ocean. After taking in the beauty of the hotel interior, we stepped outside onto the terrace that overlooks the ocean. We enjoyed the views and the delicious items on the menu and then decided to venture to see our room. Our room was plush, antique-y, vintage, glamorous and beach chic. They even provided us robes!!! Our room in particular, overlooked their wedding ceremony site, which leads me to…

This hotel would be a great wedding venue! I have known a few Brides & Grooms that have tied the knot here and what a beautiful setting to do so. If you are looking for a gorgeous back drop of the pacific ocean and the sweet smelling breezes of wonderful San Diego weather, this is a place for you and your honey.

This hotel cannot be described by words alone, I recommend a staycation or simple visit to this amazing hotel, you will not be disappointed!!!
